This Is What A Volunteer Trip Feels Like

OneKid has been working in Kenya since 2006. Our first project was a simple science lab at the Nyamasare Girls School in Mbita, Kenya. Since then, we have built dorms, science labs, classrooms, bathrooms and kitchens, installed solar power and water catchment systems and paid tuition for hundreds of students and salaries for teachers and nurses at more than 15 schools in three different areas in Kenya.

Take A Trip

This is text that makes the point that these trips are driven by volunteers - by people like you reading this now who - this is where we need to really define the "volunteer" text - as this will be used on every Country page and in many different places on the site:

  • What is the "promise" of the trip?

  • what are the benefits for the children - what are the benefits for the volunteer

  • what is the volunteer going to "get" by doing this that they couldn't get anywhere else?

  • How many people have gone through it?

  • Is there anything "Country" specific

Honestly, it's been the singularly most amazing experience of my life
